Welcome to the Thistle!

 We are a very friendly and welcoming organization and happy to include you and teach you all you need to know. If you would like to know more about the sport or how membership works at our club, we suggest you either send us an email, give us call or just stop by on Monday or Wednesday evening between 7pm and 9pm, or Friday morning between 10 am and noon, to watch or just say hello.

To get you started, here are a few club rules:​

●No partner or full team needed

●Please wear flat-soled shoes or sneakers

●Please wear whatever clothes suit your style and comfort

●The special balls (the bowls) used to play the game can be borrowed from the club

●New members usually use the club's bowls as long as they wish until they decide to purchase a set of their own​

From the latter part of May to mid-September, jitneys (the social, mainly-for-fun version of lawn bowls) are organized on Mondays, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and Fridays at 10:00 am.

Competitive tournaments are organized at various irregular times and days, usually on long weekends.

​

We encourage visitors, spectators and potential bowlers at all of our events, whether they be jitneys, club tournaments or inter-club tournaments.

We try to have a member available to greet you and share with you our knowledge of, information about and enthusiasm for this great outdoor activity.
